Houston Real Estate Comes to Google, Bye Bye Classifieds
Prediction: Google Base will eat away at the value of advertising in the local newspaper. The Houston Association of Realtors agreed to integrate its houston real estate listings with the as-yet unheralded Google Base classifieds.
But giving traffic directly to Google will create a greater impetus for anyone to advertise (for free) on Google Base and plenty more to pay to advertise.
So, where does the Houston Chronicle fit in?As usual, agents will still advertise in it because the clients demand it. That may change.
