We love to hear Steven Kaufman speak. He is full of general investment knowledge, and now, lending knowledge. He is a partner at Zeus Mortgage.
Steven entered the investment world almost by accident at a tender age. Still in his 20's, he is one of the best known investor service providers in the Houston market.
The kind of guy who acknowledged sage investment advice in an elevator may be the kind of guy worth hearing.
Steven sent us this information about himself.
Steven Kaufman owned and operated a successful startup before joining an international management company as their controller. As a CPA, he transitioned into management in a prominent public accounting firm. Concurrently, he became interested in real estate after an elevator ride with a retired 30s something investor. The best accident that could have happened to him was the purchase of two rentals on ten-year mortgages. He has acquired dozens of properties since then and has been involved in several large projects. Making his way into financing real estate as an executive consultant through his CPA firm he eventually became a principal in Zeus Mortgage, Ltd. Steven has been a regular speaker for the University of Houston and various chambers of Commerce. He has conducted several workshops and seminars at RICH, Southeast Texas Realty Investment Club, Clear Lake Investment Club, Alamo Investment Club, and The Texas City Investment Club. He's an active member of the Intown Chamber of Commerce. A member of Historic Houston and the Houston Downtown Association. An inductee into Beta Gamma Sigma which is a business Honorary in 1999. An inductee into Who's Who in the United States in 2002, and inducted into the Metropolitan Who's Who in 2006. Featured guest on several talk shows regarding creative tax and business planning for real estate. Steven has sat as an officer of the RICH board of directors since the 2004-2005 session as treasurer.
