We have had mentors. In fact, the most successful people always have had mentors and role models from whom they learn. The entire premise of Kiyosaki is that there are people that can teach you, and then there are your parents! Mentors are an absolute necessity in getting started in any endeavour; real estate is no exception. The question that our readers must have is how to choose one. We have only snippets of information of several of the mentors around town. As we get a little more info, we will provide profiles of them. If there is news to report we will report news on them. But local mentoring groups are drastically different than big-time seminars. Local mentors mean local reputations and long-term track records. THE RICH BOARD The Board of The Realty Investment Club of Houston (RICH) has all types on it. We have mentioned in one of our profiles a Director who spent thousands on a guru and has not bought a house after 2 years of "investing." We can name another who hired a local investor to be his mentor. We knew the mentor. But we never knew he was a mentor. This RICH Director has bought many houses and learned a lot from an otherwise understated mentor. The right mentor can help you earn wealth. If you have questions and would like more dedicated and one-on-one/small group education, we can set up live in-person or on-the-job learning sessions - upon request or at a regularly scheduled time.
