We love his ideas, especially on effectively communicating with tenants, framing conversations, setting expectations and grass-roots networking to finding tenants. But I am sure Jeffrey's mind is about as organized as his website. His organization certainly seemed to operate that way. HoustonRealNews called Mr. Landlord's office to ask for some sample newsletters. They never arrived. We asked for a package that cost $500, but wanted to substitute out some of the tapes and added in more paper product. [We are a literary creature.] No response. We hope he is a better landlord. Having gotten the pitch, having gotten a feel for the organization, being shell-shocked at the website's organization, we are suggesting that readers who are already landlords use Mr. Landlord for tips to increase their earnings. We recommend that new investors stick with an organization (and therefore an organizer) that will be a little easier to follow.
